This project needed a steel pontoon system due the large size of the Tru-Flo pumps that were mounted to the pontoon. An access ramp was also needed for the servicing of the pumps.
Steel Pontoons
(Suitable for electric pump installations)
Tru-Flo manufactures its own range of steel pontoons. Our range consists of four (4) models which is SWL-6T, SWL-10T, SWL-20T & SWL-26T.
This comprehensive range of pontoons allows us to select a pontoon suitable to carry the pumpset selected for any application.
Features of our pontoons include;
- Pump / Motor location adjustment slides to minimis pontoon listing
- Designed to be dragged and skidded in rough mining terrain
- Fitted with super heavy-duty push bar to suit towing and pushing via large bull dozers and excavators.
- Manufactured in three module sections (Centre section, and left and right sections) designed for shipping & sea freight within containers
- Fitted with hand rails, knee rail and kick rail to Australian Standards
- Supplied with two life rings, nylon ropes and keeper hooks
- Pontoons are pressure tested prior to coating
- Fitted with compartment inspection hatches
- Fitted with four 15 tonn Rudd Lugs for lifting
- 100mm bollards and rope anchors fitted in each corner
- Heavy duty chain eyelets for drag chain hitch points
- Skid runners manufactured from rectangular hollow section (RHS)
- Replaceable wear strips under skid runners
- Pontoon coated with 2 pack epoxy high build paint.
Poly Pontoons
(Suitable for electric pump installations)
Tru-Flo manufactures its own range of poly pontoons. Our range consists of two (2) models which is SWL-4T and SWL-6T.
This comprehensive range of pontoons allows us to select a pontoon suitable to carry the pumpset selected for any application.
Features of our pontoons include;
- Fitted with skid rails to allow dragging if required
- Designed to allow overhead lifting into position if required
- Manufactured in module sections designed for export shipping
- Fitted with hand rails, knee rail and kick rail to Australian Standards
- Supplied with one life ring, nylon rope and keeper hook
- Pontoon cells are manufactured from high density roto-mold plastic
- Each pontoon cell is filled with closed cell polyurethane foam providing indestructible floatation even if damaged
- Four 3 tonne Rudd Lugs, pontoon chain lift points
- Heavy duty chain eyelets for drag chain hitch points
- Pontoon steel frame is hot dipped galvanised
- Hand rails powder coated Y14 safety yellow
- Cable trays, pipe spools, marshalling boxes and other accessories are fitted as optional extras
Two 55kw Tru-Flo Pumps mounted to our poly pontoon and access walkway for mine process water.
Six (6) Tru-Flo electric pumpsets where mounted to our poly pontoons. The client needed to access the electric pumps for servicing. To enable this, we fitted to the pontoons our floating access ramp system.
Pontoon Floating Access Ramps
Floating access ramps is used for accessing the pontoon pump from the bank. Tru-Flo manufactures its own range of Pontoon Floating Access Ramps. Our range consists of four (4) models which is the 6.0Mtr, 8.0Mtr, 10.0Mtr and 12Mtr.
Features of our Pontoon Floating Access Ramps are;
- 1000mm walkway width
- Supplied in sections pre-assembled with hand rails flat packed
- Fitted with close cell foam filled floatation cells
- Hot dipped galvanised steel frame
- Stainless steel fasteners
- 300mm aluminium cable tray fitted under mesh access walkway down the centre of the ramp
- Powder coated hand rails to Australian Standard
- Each section pin locks together to form a robust floating access ramp to pontoons
- Fitted with four 1 tonne lifting rudd lugs
- Stainless steel connection pins
- Concrete anchor cleat assembly for connection to the bank
- Access ramps are not designed to carry pipe loads
